Booking Terms & Policies

A 50% non-refundable retainer and a signed agreement are required to reserve your date and time. The retainer will be applied toward the total cost of your service. Dates are not held without payment and confirmation from DeeJay Visuals.

The remaining balance must be paid no later than 24 hours before the scheduled session. Event coverage and custom projects may follow the payment schedule listed in the client’s individual agreement. Final images will not be delivered until all outstanding balances are paid.

Clients may reschedule once by providing at least 72 hours’ notice. The retainer may be transferred to a new date scheduled within 60 days, subject to availability.

Cancellations, repeated rescheduling, or requests made with less than 72 hours’ notice will result in the loss of the retainer. A new retainer will be required to book another date.

A 15-minute grace period is provided. Arriving late may reduce the amount of shooting time available and does not reduce the session price. Arrivals exceeding 30 minutes may be treated as a same-day cancellation unless other arrangements are approved by DeeJay Visuals.

Clients are responsible for arriving prepared and on time with the necessary clothing, accessories, products, and participants. DeeJay Visuals will provide creative direction but cannot guarantee specific poses, expressions, weather conditions, locations, or outcomes outside of the photographer’s control.

DeeJay Visuals selects the strongest images from each session based on focus, expression, composition, lighting, and overall quality. Final images receive professional color correction and editing consistent with the DeeJay Visuals portfolio.

Additional retouching or revisions outside the original service may require an additional fee.

Final galleries are generally delivered within 7–14 business days. Event galleries, large projects, videos, and monthly content packages may require additional time. Any different delivery timeline will be communicated before or after the session.

Rush delivery may be available for an additional fee.

RAW files, unedited photographs, project files, and rejected images are not included in any package and will not be delivered. The client receives only the professionally selected and edited work included with the purchased service.

DeeJay Visuals retains the copyright to all photographs and creative work produced unless otherwise agreed in writing. Clients receive a non-exclusive license to download, print, and share delivered images for personal use.

Images may not be sold, significantly altered, submitted to contests, used commercially, or provided to third parties for promotional purposes without written permission. Businesses and brands must obtain the appropriate commercial usage rights.

DeeJay Visuals will only use a client’s recognizable likeness for portfolio, advertising, social media, or other commercial promotional purposes when the client has provided the appropriate consent or model release.

Clients who prefer to keep their images private should communicate this before the session. Florida law generally requires consent before someone’s likeness is used for commercial or advertising purposes. Florida Statutes §540.08

Sessions outside the standard Jacksonville service area may require travel, parking, admission, permit, lodging, or location fees. These expenses will be communicated before booking whenever reasonably possible and are the client’s responsibility unless otherwise stated in writing.

The client is responsible for confirming whether photography is permitted at the selected location.

Completed images will be delivered through an online gallery or another agreed-upon method. Clients are responsible for downloading and backing up their files.

Online galleries are guaranteed to remain available for 30 days after delivery. DeeJay Visuals is not responsible for permanently storing images after that period. Gallery restoration may be available for an additional fee if the files remain archived.

DeeJay Visuals will make every reasonable effort to capture important moments, details, and requested individuals. However, specific photographs cannot be guaranteed due to timing, venue restrictions, lighting, guest interference, blocked views, or other circumstances outside the photographer’s control.

Clients should provide a schedule and list of essential moments before the event.

If severe weather, illness, equipment failure, military obligations, venue restrictions, emergencies, or other circumstances beyond either party’s reasonable control prevent the service from being completed, the parties will make a reasonable effort to reschedule.

If DeeJay Visuals cannot provide the service or arrange a suitable replacement, payments for services not performed will be refunded. DeeJay Visuals is not responsible for indirect expenses or losses resulting from circumstances outside its reasonable control.

DeeJay Visuals may end a session or refuse service if a client or guest behaves in a threatening, abusive, unsafe, discriminatory, or unlawful manner. The client is responsible for damage caused by the client or their guests to photography equipment, studio property, rented spaces, or location property.

Submitting a booking, checking an acceptance box, paying a retainer, or electronically signing an agreement indicates acceptance of these terms. Florida generally recognizes electronic records and signatures and does not deny a contract legal effect solely because it was formed electronically. Florida Statutes §668.50
