What is a Jaybird?
A Jaybird is a creative collaborator who isn’t afraid to explore new concepts, step outside the ordinary, and grow in front of the camera. The Jaybird program connects emerging and experienced models with DeeJay Visuals for collaborative shoots, portfolio-building opportunities, and creative experiences.

What’s expected
Being a Jaybird means showing up with intention.
Jaybirds are expected to communicate clearly, arrive prepared and on time, treat everyone respectfully, follow through on confirmed collaborations, and properly credit the creative team when sharing completed work.
FAQ
Do I need modeling experience?
No. Previous modeling experience is not required. I’m looking for people who are expressive, dependable, open to direction, and genuinely interested in creating. Confidence and experience can grow over time.
Does it cost to become a Jaybird?
No. There is no membership fee to become a Jaybird. Selected applicants begin as Jaybird Prospects and complete an introductory collaboration before officially joining the program.
Are photoshoots paid?
Most Jaybird shoots are collaborative and unpaid. The model contributes their time and talent, while DeeJay Visuals provides the photography, creative direction, and edited images. If a paid client or commercial opportunity becomes available, compensation and expectations will be discussed before accepting the project.
Will I receive edited images?
Yes. Jaybirds receive professionally edited images from completed collaborative sessions. The number of images and delivery timeline may vary depending on the concept. RAW and unedited files are not provided.
How often do Jaybirds shoot?
There is no guaranteed schedule. Opportunities are offered based on upcoming concepts, availability, location, and how well each Jaybird fits the creative vision. Participation is encouraged, but you may not be selected for every project.
Can I decline a concept?
Absolutely. Jaybirds are never required to participate in a concept that makes them uncomfortable or doesn’t fit their personal brand. Clear and timely communication is expected when accepting or declining an opportunity.
Does becoming a Jaybird include Creative Getaway admission?
No. Becoming a Jaybird does not automatically include free admission to The Creative Getaway. Jaybirds may receive early access, priority consideration, or exclusive opportunities connected to selected events, but event costs and benefits will be communicated separately.
How will I know if I’m selected?
Applications are reviewed based on creativity, personality, reliability, availability, and alignment with the Jaybird community. Selected applicants will be contacted through the email, phone number, or Instagram account provided in their application.
